With Christmas travel possibly having a lot of anglers traveling far from home, Daiwa has brought out a premium travel option for you to take your gear on the go. The new Ardito Travel Rod series is a premium line of travel rods that includes two models of telescoping rods and one multi-piece travel rod. That way no matter where you end up flying to, you can keep at least one quality combo with you.
The first of these travel rods is the new flagship rod of the series the Ardito Jitte self-contained telescoping rods. The Jitte rods are available in both a casting and spinning model, with both completely fitting inside themselves with a full train of eight guides. That way you end up with a compact baton of a travel rod that protects its own guides and takes up minimal space.
The telescoping ARDITO Jitte ARD6106TLFS-TR spinning travel rod is a medium-power, fast action and designed for 1/16- to 3/8-oz lures and 3- to 10-lb line. The telescoping ARDITO Jitte ARD6106TMFB-TR casting travel rod is medium-power, fast action and designed for 3/16- to 5/8-oz lures and 7- to 16-lb line.

While the Jitte rods are the flagship Ardito travel rods, Daiwa has more to offer in the line. If telescoping rods aren’t your thing the Ardito Premium Travel Rod might be something to look at. This is a more traditional multi-piece travel rod that is available in two models. The 6’8” ARD684MLSF-TR is a medium-light, 4-piece spinning rod. This is rated for 5- to 12-pound test line and 1/8 – 1/2 oz lure weight and comes with a split-grip cork handle.
The other is the 6’10” ARD6104MHFB-TR medium-heavy 4-piece conventional rod. This rod is rated up to 20-pound test line and 1/4 – 3/4 oz lures. This rod comes with a full cork handle. Both of these travel rods use Daiwa’s HVF Nano plus carbon blanks material and come with a sturdy yet pliable, semi-hard travel case.
The 6’ 10” four-piece ARDITO ARD6104MHFB-TR travel rod is a medium-heavy, fast action rod designed for ¼- to ¾-ounce lures and 8- 20-lb line. The 6’ 8” spinning version (RD684MLFS-TR) is a medium-light, fast action rod designed for 1/8- to ½-ounce lures and 5- to 12-pound line.

Additionally, there is the Ardito Premium Telescoping Travel Rods, these are offered in two models. A 6’10” casting and spinning model that employs Daiwa’s V-Joint flexing ferrule joint system to make it fish like a traditional one-piece rod. These super-compact Ardito Premium telescoping rods feature a full cork handle, O-ring guides, and come with a softshell structures travel case.
