[ICAST 2025] The Ultra-Light KastKing Mg-Ti Elite Baitcast Reel

KastKing is here at ICAST 2025, continuing their trend of making incredibly light baitcast reels. After the success of the Kestrel Elite and MG12 Elite magnesium baitcast reels, KastKing has gone the next step forward with the new Mg-Ti Elite reel. This is the first low-profile baitcast reel with a full titanium spool and shaft. This titanium spool comes in at only 1/10^th of an ounce, giving it very little start-up inertia and a wide lure weight range of .05oz to 1oz. Besides the spool, the body of the reel is made from a digi-cut magnesium alloy and comes with TiCon carbon fiber side plates, both for added strength and reduced weight for the reel.

The new KastKing Mg-Ti Elite low-profile baitcast reel will be available in both left and right-handed retrieve options and has an MSRP of $299. These new lightweight reels should be ship out by August of this year.
