Suppressor owners now have a cleaning solution built specifically for their cans. Infante Ultrasonics dropped Can Tonic this week – the first ultrasonic cleaning formula engineered exclusively for silencer maintenance instead of borrowed from some other application.
Infante Ultrasonics Coverage on AllOutdoor
Can Tonic works through ultrasonic cavitation. High-frequency sound waves create and collapse microscopic bubbles against surfaces. The formula enhances this mechanical scrubbing action inside suppressor baffles and end caps where carbon, lead, and copper deposits pile up. Infante says Can Tonic is “purpose-built to harness ultrasonic cavitation, penetrating baffles, end caps, and internal passages.” This matters because most modern suppressors either don’t come apart at all or have limited access for manual cleaning.
Key features of Can Tonic include:
- Full-strength application without dilution
- Safe for stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, and Inconel
- Biodegradable and solvent-free formulation
- Non-flammable with No-VOC rating
- Ships as non-hazardous material
- Available in half-gallon bottles
The solution works with various ultrasonic cleaning tanks, not just Infante’s own systems. Good news for shooters who already own ultrasonic equipment but haven’t found effective cleaning solutions for their suppressors.

Some warnings come with the release. Infante cautions that Can Tonic may affect aftermarket finishes like Cerakote, anodizing, and nitride with prolonged exposure. Blued, black oxide, and Parkerized finishes? Don’t use Can Tonic on these at all unless you want bare metal.
“Infante® Can Tonic™ is the world’s only ultrasonic suppressor cleaner, engineered exclusively for silencer maintenance. Unlike generic solvents or improvised solutions, Can Tonic™ is purpose-built to harness ultrasonic cavitation, penetrating baffles, end caps, and internal passages to remove carbon, lead, and copper fouling. Safe for aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel. Can Tonic™ sets the industry standard as the first and only dedicated ultrasonic suppressor cleaning solution available today.”
The suppressor cleaning market has run on improvisation until now. Shooters have used everything from Simple Green to industrial degreasers to CLR, with mixed results and uncertain effects on suppressor materials. Whether a purpose-designed formula delivers real improvements over these existing methods will depend on what users actually see when they run it. Can Tonic is shipping now with an MSRP of $70.
