St. Croix Rods is continuing its mission of providing musky anglers, the finest musky rods they can make with the new Musky X rods. This is a musky-centric rod line of 18 technique-focused rods that are amongst the strongest and durable. They have been designed and hand-built by St. Croix, but are still made to be more affordable and accessible to musky anglers. The rods all come with a premium SCII carbon fiber blank that uses the fortified resin system to increase strength and reduce weight, and lightweight black stainless-steel guides with aluminum-oxide rings. The rods range from 7’6″ on up to 9’6″ and come in medium-heavy to extra-heavy power depending on the rod’s intended technique. MSRP for the rods ranges from $195 up to $310, depending on the model, and should be available for purchase this November.
