The story behind Laurel Branch Woodworks

Laurel Branch started in a one-car garage with a secondhand table saw and a pile of walnut offcuts from a neighbor's barn. What began as Christmas gifts for family turned into a small workshop making boards, spoons and serving pieces meant to be used every day and handed down.

Every piece is cut, shaped and sanded by hand from locally sourced walnut, cherry, maple and white oak, then finished with food-safe mineral oil and beeswax. No two boards are alike, because no two trees are.

This is a sample shop created by Wildscape Outfitters to show how a maker's storefront looks. It isn't a real business, and its products aren't for sale.
