Privacy Policy
Wildscape Outfitters
Effective date: October 11, 2026
Wildscape Outfitters (“Wildscape,” “we,” or “us”) operates a marketplace that connects shoppers with American makers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
For privacy questions or requests, contact support@wildscapeoutfitters.com.
1. Maker Accounts and Information You Provide
When you apply for a maker account, manage your shop, request a promotion, or contact us, we collect the information you provide. This may include:
- Your name, email address, phone number, account credentials, and business information.
- Your shop name, location, story, logo, photographs, videos, website, and social links.
- Product descriptions, photographs, prices, categories, availability, and external checkout links.
- Your selected plan, founding status, application decision, membership status, and subscription records.
- Messages, support requests, interview responses, and promotional requests.
- Your acceptance of the Maker Agreement, including its version, acceptance date, USA-made confirmation, and the IP address used when accepting.
Passwords are stored in a protected, hashed form through WordPress, rather than as readable passwords.
We use this information to review applications, operate maker accounts, publish approved listings, provide membership services, communicate with you, maintain agreement records, and protect the marketplace.
2. Public Shop and Product Information
Approved shop pages and product listings are public. Information you submit for publication—such as your shop name, maker story, city and state, images, social links, and product details—may be viewed, shared, or indexed by search engines.
We may use this public material in Wildscape and GEN7 promotions, social posts, Maker Stories, gift guides, and product catalog feeds, as described in the Maker Agreement.
Your account password, private support messages, and agreement-acceptance IP address are not displayed on your public shop page. Contact information you place in a public description or image will be publicly visible.
3. Marketplace Visit Counts and Reports
Our built-in marketplace analytics measures shop visits, product views, product-card impressions, Buy-button clicks, share actions, search terms, and traffic sources.
We use these measurements to improve the marketplace and provide makers with reports about their shops. Makers receive statistics about activity involving their shops and products, rather than lists of identifiable shoppers.
Raw IP addresses are not stored in marketplace analytics event records. The analytics system briefly processes the IP address, browser information, and browser language to create a hashed visitor code that changes daily. This helps reduce duplicate counts.
These event records use a temporary code rather than a shopper’s name or email. They are pseudonymous records; the summary reports contain aggregated counts.
Raw analytics events are configured for deletion once they are older than 90 days through scheduled cleanup. Aggregated daily totals and search-term counts may be retained longer. The 90-day limit does not apply to maker accounts, agreement records, support messages, or subscription records.
Avoid entering personal or sensitive information into the marketplace search box.
4. Cookies and Browser Storage
WordPress uses cookies for functions such as signing in, keeping your account session active, and remembering certain preferences.
Our marketplace analytics also uses a first-party session cookie called wsm_src. It remembers whether a visit came from a source such as GEN7, social media, a maker’s shared link, or a search engine. This lets a later Buy click be credited to the source that brought the visitor to Wildscape.
This cookie contains a traffic-source label, not your name, email address, or payment details. It is set as a session cookie rather than a persistent cookie with a fixed expiration date.
Our built-in analytics does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.
Browser storage may also remember your selected state, notification preferences, and notification subscription status.
You can manage cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent maker login or affect other features. Clearing stored preferences may reset your choices.
5. Optional Push Notifications
Push notifications are optional. We request permission through your browser or device before subscribing it to notifications.
If you subscribe, we store the technical subscription information needed to deliver notifications, including a browser delivery address, encryption keys, time zone when provided, and subscription activity. If you follow makers or request product availability alerts, we also store those selections.
Notifications may include new products, maker features, stories, seasonal gift guides, and updates from makers you follow. Notification-link clicks may be counted in marketplace reports.
Delivery uses the push service associated with your browser or device. Those providers process technical information under their own privacy policies.
You can stop notifications through your browser or device settings and use any unsubscribe controls provided by Wildscape. An unsubscribe request through our website removes the associated subscription record. Blocking notifications in your browser may not immediately remove a previously stored server record; contact us if you also want that record deleted.
6. Payments Through Square or PayPal
Payments take place through Square or PayPal, not through a payment checkout on the Wildscape website.
For maker memberships, we send an approved maker an external Square subscription link and manually activate the account after confirming payment.
For product purchases, a Buy button directs you to the maker’s own Square or PayPal checkout. The maker receives your payment and handles your order.
Wildscape does not collect or store your full card number, card security code, or payment-account password on its website. We may retain membership payment confirmations, amounts, dates, transaction references, and subscription status for administration and recordkeeping.
Square, PayPal, and the maker may collect payment, contact, shipping, and transaction information under their own privacy policies. Review their policies before completing a purchase.
7. Emails and Other Communications
We use contact information to send application decisions, account and security notices, membership information, renewal reminders, reports, promotional-service updates, and responses to your questions.
Where available, you can adjust optional email preferences or use an unsubscribe link. Necessary account, security, and membership communications may continue while you maintain an account or while we resolve an existing matter.
Information you send to support@wildscapeoutfitters.com is used to respond to your request and maintain relevant support records.
8. Hosting, Comments, and Embedded Content
Hosting and technical service providers may process connection information, including IP addresses, to deliver the website, maintain logs, and protect against abuse. The statement about not storing raw IP addresses in analytics does not mean that IP addresses are never processed or retained elsewhere.
If comments are enabled and you leave a comment, WordPress collects the information entered in the comment form and may store your IP address and browser information for moderation and security. Your approved comment and display name may be public. An avatar service may also process information to display a profile image.
Maker pages and stories may contain embedded videos or other content from outside services. Embedded content can allow its provider to receive connection information, use cookies, and measure interactions under its own policy.
External websites, including maker stores and social platforms, have their own privacy practices.
9. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell maker account information or private support correspondence.
Information may be shared:
- Publicly when you submit approved shop, product, or promotional content for publication.
- With hosting, email, push-delivery, and other service providers as needed to operate the marketplace.
- With makers as aggregated reports about their own shops and products.
- When required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, safety, security, or legal claims.
Public product details may also appear in advertising catalog feeds. Providing those feeds does not itself mean we install an advertising tracking pixel on the website.
10. Retention and Security
We retain maker account and business records while needed to provide services, administer memberships, meet legal or accounting obligations, and resolve disputes.
Closing an account does not automatically erase all related records. Agreement records, payment confirmations, support history, and previously published promotional material may remain where needed for those purposes. Backups may retain older copies until they are replaced under the applicable backup schedule.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect nonpublic information and restrict access to people who need it for marketplace administration. No website or transmission method can guarantee complete security.
11. Your Choices and Requests
You may contact support@wildscapeoutfitters.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account.
We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some information may need to be retained for legal obligations, security, accounting, or unresolved claims. Rights and exceptions depend on applicable law.
You can also update available account details, manage optional email preferences, disable push notifications, and control cookies or browser storage through your settings.
Deleting account information does not itself cancel a paid membership. Membership cancellation follows the Maker Agreement.
12. Children, Policy Updates, and Contact
Maker accounts are intended for adults age 18 or older. Wildscape is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can investigate and address it.
We may update this policy as our services or practices change. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice when required.
